Will the seller allow a test drive? Test driving a car is essential for noticing problems as well as for ensuring the car is the right fit for you. There shouldn't be any issues with getting a test drive from a used car dealership. However, private sellers might be more hesistent, if they are offer them to accompany you on the trip. If they are still hesistent I would be a little concerned that there is something they trying to hide.
