What are the accountants qualifications?

It is not unknown for certain accountants to be of questionable ability. Make sure the accountant you chose has all the right qualifications. Any attempt by your prosepective number cruncher to avoid such questions should raise alarms. It is essential that they are a member of a reputable organisation such as CPA or CA in Australia, ACCA in the UK and or ACA in the USA.
