What developments are bordering your lot? There have been some horror stories where the block behind was vacant when they bought the land. Then following the purchase it turned out that the vacant land was to turned into a 45 foot high block of senior apartments. Whilst there will always be a risk with vacant land bordering your lot, but to reduce this risk it is important to check with your local council to see if any plans or permits have already been submitted for that land before purchasing your land.
